This series contains files that relate to projects, organizations, and events that Rathbone was involved with. The types of materials in this series are correspondence, newsletters, certificates, photos, blueprints, maps, speech scripts, proposals, reports, minutes, agendas, notes, publications, booklets, newspapers, slides, nomination forms, legislative materials, budget and cost analysis, and files related to fundraising and profits.

The subjects of these files are the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE), the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), the National Society of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES), the Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc (ABET), the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE), the Order of the Engineer, the Kansas Engineering Society (KES) Task Force, Great Achievement Task Force, National Youth Science Camp, Integrated Circuit Electronics Corporation Inc. (ICE), the Kansas Entrepreneurial Center Advisory Board, the Kansas State Board of Technical Professions, the National Institute for Land Management and Training, the Land Management Training Center (Fort Riley), KS Army National Guard, Institute for American Liberty, Freedom Oil and Gas Co., the Kansas Power and Light Company, the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International, and the Manhattan Rotary Club, the Rotary Leadership Institute, Phi Kappa Phi, Kemper Military School, the University of Pittsburgh Department of Electrical Engineering, Allen County Community College, Clay Center High School, Baldwin High School, the Delphinium Society, the Royal Horticultural Society, the Jazz Advisory Committee, the Picture Lady Program, the Wrestling House Project, the Manhattan Community Foundation, Manhattan City Planning Board, Retire to the Flint Hills Committee, the Colbert Hills Golf Course, the Sunset Cemetery Paslay Singing Tower, and the First Presbyterian Church.

Box 13, 1942 - 1997

Box contains documents pertaining to 4-H, the Adult Council, the Fair board, the Farm Service Agency, and community development. 4-H Documents include meeting minutes, guest books, member list, record books as well as historian and reporter notebooks. Fair board documents include correspondences to and from board members. Community development documents include correspondence from community coordinator Dale L. Ladd.

Box 3, 1981 - 1998

This box contains correspondence, proposals, budget and cost analysis, blueprints, speech scripts, flyers, newsletters, and notes related to projects and organizations that Rathbone was involved with. Some of these are directly related to the KSU College of Engineering, while others are more recreational endeavors. These projects include the construction of Rathbone’s own house, of the Sunset Cemetery Paslay Singing Tower, of Fiedler Hall, and of Rathbone Hall. There are also records pertaining to the management of Colbert Hills Golf Course, and jazz clubs, events, and publications that Rathbone was a part of. Additionally, there are records related to commencements and banquets for other schools, such as Allen County Community College, Clay Center High School, and Baldwin High School.

Box 4, 1962 - 2007

This box contains booklets, correspondence, slides, minutes, speech scripts, notes, reports, and publications related to the KSU College of Engineering, as well as projects and organizations that Rathbone was involved with.
The KSU-related materials relate to the KSU College of Engineering Hall of Fame, the Advisory Council, evaluations, surveys, course ratings, and annual reports. There are also works Rathbone wrote for the University of Pittsburgh Department of Electrical Engineering.
The additional projects and organizations include the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE), the National Society of Professional Engineers (NSPE), the National Society of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES), the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc (ABET), and additional works that Rathbone wrote or presented.
