The topics range from consumer psychology and the personalities of consumers to Churaman's advocacy materials for the metric system in the U.S. A portion relates specifically to consumer advocacy, and a significant part of these articles contain information about consumer rights advocate Ralph Nader. There are also several booklets relating to consumer education, and some folders contain copies of legislation made for consumer protections and for the creation of consumer unions.

The tapes include recordings of consumer conferences on consumer unions, consumer advocacy, and how businesses can keep the consumer in mind when making choices, as well as a talk on "What It Takes to Make Consumer Legislation."
