The War Training Program series contains report cards of various training programs of war preparation through the War Training Program offered at Kansas State University. The date range for this series is 1920-1945.
The department of Food, Nutrition, Dietetics, and Health used to be called the Department of Foods and Nutrition in 1947. Before that it was the Department of Foods Economics and Nutrition (1919-1947). In 1918, Human Nutrition was transferred from the Department of Chemistry. Pictures from meat judging competitions in 1927 are included in this series. Along with, reports of faculty changes and proposals for a clinical Ph.D.
The Audio-Visual series consists primarily of photographs and negatives documenting department activities (1924-1988), as well as photo albums and scrapbooks. Some of the activities highlighted are livestock shows and judging teams, Weber Hall, the U. S. Beef Symposium, and the 1950 International Team. Glass negatives and lantern slides have been relocated to allow for better preservation of fragile materials.

This series contains records pertaining to interviews about the College of Veterinary Medicine. The vast majority of this series consists of interviews of alumni for the history book, “A Century of Excellence: Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine” by Howard H. Erickson and Ronnie G. Elmore. In addition to printed transcripts and cassette, microcassette, and VHS tape recordings of interviews, there are also drafts of “A Century of Excellence” in this series. The interviews and other materials for this book span from 1905 to the book’s publication in 2005. There is also a CD copy that was ordered in 2007 containing some of the information pertinent to this project.
