Contains documentation on Dary’s family. Included are folders with information about Ruth Engel Long, along with supplemental research material used for genealogical research. Also included is ancestral information for the Sudduth family line. Most notable are the collections of census documents for St. Lawrence County in New York, Bastings in Ontario, Canada, Hope Township in Kansas, Culpeper County, Virginia, Harrison County, Ohio, Oswegatchie, Ohio, and more, all connected with Dary’s ancestry.

Contains correspondence, publishing information, and reviews of True Tales of the Prairies and Plains (2007) the Buffalo Book (1974), as well as miscellaneous publishing material. Also included are papers from Dary’s Short-Wave Radio and TV career, including the Radio Broadcast Handbook and papers regarding his trip to Khartoum, Sudan.

Box 115, 1885-2016

Contains several items regarding research for Dary’s “The Buffalo Book” 1974, along with photographs taken for the Buffalo Book and Dary’s release of Touring the West with Leaping Lena. Touring the West and its manuscripts are included in Box 115. Several Dary speeches are also included, along with correspondence regarding research, articles, and Fulbright scholar from the University of Khartoum, Sudan, Dr. Eltayeb Ateya, who studied at the University of Oklahoma.

Box 116, 1895-2015

Contains documents regarding Dary’s thesis on journalist A.B. McDonald. Along with this, publication files and research regarding Cowboy Culture (1981) and Oregon Trail (2004) are included, as are personal files from Dary’s previous Dell computer and his time as a board member at Fancaster.
